I am a writer because I write

​I am a writer because I write.
I write every day.
I write because it helps me process.
I write because it helps me pray.
I write because I like words and the rhythm of words and the meaning of words.
I write because I love to read.
When I read I regularly experience “ah ha” moments.
Something leaps inside me when I come across an idea, concept or story and I start asking myself questions and making connections.
And I have to write them down.
Because I am a writer.
I started this blog because I am learning to write for others.
I will make a lot of writing mistakes until I take a course or work with an editor or both.
That is fine with me.
For now, I just need to write.
Because I am becoming the kind of writer who helps others with my writing.
And it is time to risk.
